This is an intercooler boot kit, not a full charge pipe kit. It replaces the OEM rubber boots at the intercooler connections, which are a known failure point on the 6.4L compound turbo setup, particularly on trucks used for towing or running above-stock boost levels. A cracked or split OEM boot will cause a boost leak that reduces power, triggers limp mode, and can leave you stranded. The HPS boots use a 4-ply fluorolined silicone construction that resists oil blow-by from the inside and withstands sustained boost pressure over 100 PSI at temperatures up to 500 degrees F. Heavy duty stainless steel spring-loaded T-bolt clamps are included. Direct OEM fitment, no trimming or modifications required.
